Anchor: Daily Intention ("we," "us," "our," or "Anchor") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (the "App") and the associated website.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our App.

2. Information We Collect

Anchor is designed to minimize data collection. We collect only the information you explicitly provide:

• Your intentions: The daily sentences you write in the app, stored locally on your device and synced to your iCloud account.
• Sign in with Apple identifier: A unique identifier from Apple, used only for account recovery and multi-device synchronization.
• Optional tags: The categories you assign (Focus, Health, Growth, Calm, Connect).

We do not collect:

• Location data
• Contacts or address book
• Health or fitness data
• Photos, camera, or microphone access
• Device motion or sensor data
• Analytics or usage statistics
• Advertising identifiers or tracking cookies

3. How We Use Your Information

Your intentions and account information are used solely to:

• Provide the core App functionality (storing and retrieving your daily intentions)
• Synchronize your data across your personal devices via your iCloud account
• Enable account recovery using Sign in with Apple
• Process your one-time Pro ($0.99) in-app purchase

4. Data Storage & Synchronization

Local Storage: Your intentions are stored locally on your device using SwiftData.

iCloud Sync: When you sign in with Apple and have an active iCloud account, your intentions are automatically mirrored to Apple's CloudKit private database. This allows you to access your intentions across your devices securely.

Offline Mode: The app is fully functional offline. Sync occurs when a network connection is available.

5. Third-Party Services

Anchor uses only Apple's services:

• CloudKit: For private iCloud synchronization (user-owned, end-to-end encrypted).
• StoreKit 2: For secure in-app purchase processing ($0.99 Pro unlock).
• Sign in with Apple: For account creation and recovery (no email, password, or tracking).

We do not use, integrate, or share your data with any third-party analytics platforms, advertising networks, AI services, or external servers.

6. Do Not Track

Your intentions and Sign in with Apple identifier are never sold, rented, leased, or disclosed to any external party for marketing, advertising, or any other purpose beyond providing the App's core functionality.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

Retention: Your intentions are kept as long as your account is active.

Deletion: When you delete your account via the App's Settings, all of your intentions are permanently deleted from your local device and from CloudKit within a reasonable timeframe.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

• Right to Access: You can export your intentions as text or PDF via the App's Pro tools.
• Right to Erasure ("Right to Be Forgotten"): Delete your account and all associated data by signing out and selecting "Delete Account" in Settings.
• Right to Data Portability: Export your intentions as plain text or PDF.
• Right to Restrict Processing: Stop using the App at any time; sign out to halt all synchronization.

9. GDPR Compliance (EU Users)

For users in the European Union and European Economic Area:

• Legal Basis: Processing of your intentions is based on your consent (providing the data) and contractual necessity (delivering the App service).

• Data Processor: Apple Inc. (CloudKit storage only).
• Retention Period: For the duration of your account; deleted upon your request.

• Right to Know: You can request what personal information is collected, used, or shared (via export or account deletion).
• Right to Delete: Delete your account and all associated data at any time.

11. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Anchor is suitable for users ages 4 and older. It complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA):

• We do not knowingly collect identifiable information from children under 13 beyond what is necessary for the App to function.
• No analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking.
• Parents/guardians can use a shared iCloud account for children under 13 to enable supervision and oversight.
• We do not use or disclose children's information for any commercial purpose.

12. Security

We take your privacy and security seriously:

• Local Encryption: Your intentions are encrypted at rest on your device.
• CloudKit Encryption: Synchronization to iCloud is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple.
• No External Servers: Your data never passes through third-party servers.
• StoreKit 2 Security: In-app purchases are processed securely by Apple.

However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we use industry-standard protections, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Last updated" date and, if required, providing you with notice in the App.

Your continued use of Anchor after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
