Oneword ("the App") is a journal application that helps you capture your day in a single word. This privacy policy explains how the App handles your data and respects your privacy. Your trust is essential, and we are committed to transparency.

2. Data Collection & Use

The App collects only the data you explicitly enter:

• Daily word and optional note: The word and note you write each day.
• Color tag (Pro): Your choice of color label for a word (Pro feature only).
• Apple ID identifier: Your Sign in with Apple identifier, used solely for iCloud sync and account management on your own iCloud account.

All data is stored locally on your device. If you sign in with an iCloud account, your data is synced to your private CloudKit database (Apple's secure cloud service) for backup and cross-device access. You retain full control over your iCloud data.

3. What We Do NOT Collect

• No third-party analytics or tracking.
• No advertising networks or ad partners.
• No camera, photos, microphone, location, contacts, or health data.
• No device identifiers beyond your iCloud account (when synced).
• No behavioral profiling or machine learning on your words.
• No personal data from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent (per COPPA).

4. Data Security

Your data is stored locally on your device with file protection enabled. If you enable iCloud sync, data is encrypted in transit and at rest using Apple's CloudKit infrastructure. The App uses industry-standard encryption for all connections.

The developer (Joshua Deitel) has no access to your encrypted iCloud data. Only you can access and sync your entries via your Apple ID.

5. Account & Data Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time via Settings > Account > Delete Account. This action will:

• Remove all local data from your device.
• Remove all data from your iCloud account (if synced).
• Sign you out of the App.

Once deleted, recovery is not possible. Apple retains the right to retain backup data per its standard iCloud retention policies.

6. GDPR (European Users)

If you are a resident of the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

• Right of Access: You can request a copy of your data at any time.
• Right of Erasure: You can request deletion of your data via Settings > Account > Delete Account.
• Right of Portability: You can export your data (via iCloud export or direct export features if available).
• Right to Withdraw Consent: You can stop iCloud sync or delete your account at any time.

7. CCPA/CPRA (California Users)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):

• Right to Delete: You can request deletion of personal information via Settings > Account > Delete Account.
• Right to Opt-Out: You can disable iCloud sync or uninstall the App at any time.
• Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

8. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. Once you delete your account via Settings > Account > Delete Account, your data is permanently removed from the App and your iCloud account. Apple's backup infrastructure may retain encrypted backups per Apple's standard retention policy (typically 30 days).

9. Children & COPPA

The App is rated for ages 4 and up. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child under 13 has provided personal information without consent, please contact us immediately at s0533495227@gmail.com.

For children under 13, parents or guardians can:

• Monitor device usage and set Screen Time restrictions.
• Request account deletion by contacting the developer.
• Use Apple's family sharing features to manage child accounts.

10. Third-Party Services

Oneword uses Apple's services only:

• CloudKit (private database): For secure iCloud sync (optional).
• Sign in with Apple: For account authentication.
• StoreKit: For Pro unlock in-app purchase.

No third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs are integrated. Refer to Apple's Privacy Policy for details.
