Spellchain ("the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use Spellchain on iOS.
Spellchain is designed with privacy at its core: the game runs entirely on your device, and syncing is done only through your own iCloud account. We do not operate any backend servers to collect gameplay data, and we do not share your information with third parties.
The App stores the following information locally on your device:
This data is stored using Apple's SwiftData framework and remains on your device unless you explicitly enable iCloud sync.
If you sign in with your Apple ID, the App can sync your gameplay results to your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit private database. This sync is:
iCloud sync is entirely optional. If you do not sign in, all data remains local to your device.
The App uses Sign in with Apple for two purposes only:
Your Sign in with Apple identifier is not used for tracking, profiling, or any purpose beyond these functions. Apple provides you with a unique anonymized identifier per app, which prevents even us from linking your account across other apps or services.
The App does not collect crash logs or error telemetry. If you encounter a bug, you can report it directly to us via email (see Contact section below).
Spellchain does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. There are no ad networks, analytics services, or data brokers involved.
Local Storage: Your gameplay data is encrypted by iOS on your device using the Data Protection framework (AES-256).
iCloud Storage: If synced, data is protected by Apple's end-to-end encryption. We do not have access to the encryption keys.
Pro Status Verification: StoreKit transactions are verified locally on your device; no copy is sent to any external server.
Local Data: Remains on your device until you delete the App or manually clear your data.
iCloud Data: Persists in your iCloud account as long as you remain signed in. Signing out or deleting the App will delete it from iCloud.
Public CloudKit Record: The App writes a single public record (your user ID) to verify Pro status across devices. Deleting the App removes this record.
Spellchain does not share your personal data with anyone. Your results are:
