Tip Ledger
Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 5, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what Tip Ledger (“the app”, “we”) does with your information. The app is private by default: it has no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs, no network access, and it does not sell your data.
Who we are
The data controller for this app is Shimon Deitel (Joshua Deitel). You can reach us at s0533495227@gmail.com for any privacy question or request.
What data the app handles
- The tip entries you log (bill amount, tip percentage, tip amount, category, optional note, date).
- Your tip presets and haptics preference.
- Whether you have purchased Tip Ledger Pro.
All of this stays on your device. Nothing is uploaded to us or to any third party.
Permissions we request
None. Tip Ledger does not request access to your camera, photo library, location, contacts, or any other protected resource. The app has no network connectivity of any kind — every tip entry and setting lives entirely on your device.
Where your data is stored
Your tip data is stored on your device using standard iOS local storage. If your device is configured to use iCloud, your data may be backed up through your own Apple iCloud account, which is controlled by you and governed by Apple’s privacy policy. We do not operate a server that stores your data.
No tracking or advertising
The app does not contain third-party advertising SDKs, and it does not use third-party analytics or tracking frameworks. We do not build advertising profiles from your activity.
Purchases
The app offers an optional one-time, non-consumable purchase (“Tip Ledger Pro,” $2.99, purchased once) that unlocks multi-year history, custom tip percentage presets, and CSV/text export of your tip log. This is a single purchase, not a subscription — it does not renew or recur, and it is billed once through the App Store. Purchase processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment card details, and Pro access is tied to your Apple ID so you can restore it on any device using “Restore Purchases.”
Children’s privacy
The app is rated 4+ and is intended for a general audience. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at s0533495227@gmail.com and we will address it.
Your rights (GDPR and CCPA/CPRA)
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or erase your personal data, and the right not to have your personal information sold. We do not sell personal information. Because your content is stored on your device, you can exercise access and erasure directly: open the app to view your tip entries, and delete entries or the app itself. For any request you cannot complete yourself, email us at s0533495227@gmail.com and we will respond.
Deleting your data
To remove all of the app’s data from your device, delete the app; this removes all locally stored tip entries and settings. If you sync through your own iCloud, manage or remove that data in your iCloud settings.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
