Terms of Use
Effective July 2026. Applies to Folder - Family Medical Binder for iOS.
1. Acceptance
By downloading or using Folder you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. What Folder is, and is not
Folder is a personal record-keeping tool. It stores information that you type or photograph yourself.
Folder is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, and is not a substitute for professional healthcare or for official records kept by your providers. Always consult a qualified professional for medical decisions, and verify vaccination or medication details against official sources.
3. Your data, your responsibility
All data is stored locally on your device. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter, for maintaining device backups, and for deciding who you share exported cards or PDFs with. Because we operate no servers, we cannot recover data that is lost with a device.
4. Pro subscription
- Folder Pro is an optional auto-renewing monthly subscription that unlocks unlimited family members.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel the subscription any time in your App Store account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies.
5. Acceptable use
You agree to use Folder only for lawful personal record keeping, and only to store records of people for whom you are legitimately responsible or who have consented.
6. Intellectual property
The app, its design and its content (excluding the data you enter) are owned by the developer and protected by applicable law. You may not copy, modify or redistribute the app except as permitted by the App Store terms.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
Folder is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the app will be error free or uninterrupted.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the app, including missed appointments, missed doses, data loss or decisions made based on stored information. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction is to stop using the app.
9. Changes
These terms may be updated for future versions. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be noted in the App Store release notes.
