Good to know.
Is SpeedMath free?

Yes. The free version has everything — every grade level, both Type and Speed mode — supported by ads. Pro removes the ads and adds the AI tutor.

Do I need an account?

No sign-in, ever. Your level, streaks, and stats live only on your device.

What's the difference between Type and Speed mode?

Type uses a keypad built for math — digits, decimals, negatives, fractions. Speed listens to you say the answer out loud, processed entirely on your device, and times how long it takes.

Does Speed mode send my voice anywhere?

No. Recognition runs on-device using Apple's Speech framework. Nothing is uploaded.

How does SpeedMath decide my level?

Three fast, correct answers in a row moves you up; two wrong answers in a row moves you down. 150 levels span Grade 1 through expert (university, then advanced topics like complex numbers and combinatorics, then number theory and probability).

What does the AI tutor actually do?

Pro subscribers can tap "Explain It" on any question to get a plain-language walkthrough, different from the built-in steps — useful when the standard explanation doesn't click.
