Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 2026 · App version 1.0
Short version: SpeedMath has no account, no login, and no sign-up. Your practice progress stays on your device. In the free version, Google AdMob shows ads and may collect device and advertising identifiers as described below — Pro removes ads entirely and stops all ad requests. Speech in Speed mode is processed on your device. The only thing that ever leaves your device beyond ad requests is the text of a question when a Pro user taps "Explain It," sent to our own stateless server, never stored.

1. No account, no sign-in

SpeedMath does not require or offer an account, sign-in, or sign-up of any kind. There is no name, email, or identity attached to your use of the app.

2. What stays on your device

All of this is stored locally on your device using standard iOS app storage. It is never uploaded anywhere, never linked to an identity, and is deleted if you delete the app.

3. Speed mode and the microphone

Speed mode uses Apple's on-device Speech framework to turn what you say into an answer. Recognition runs on your device where supported by your hardware; audio is not uploaded to SpeedMath's servers and is not retained after each answer is scored.

4. Advertising (free tier)

The free version of SpeedMath shows ads served by Google AdMob, including banner ads and native ads on the Home and Question screens, and occasional interstitial ads between rounds. To do this, SpeedMath and Google may collect and use:

The first time you open the app, iOS will ask whether SpeedMath may track you across apps and websites (the App Tracking Transparency prompt). If you decline, or on later launches in the EU/UK where required, ads are requested as non-personalized instead. You can change this later in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your device. Ad-related data is handled by Google under its own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy and its partner data policy at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

SpeedMath Pro removes ads entirely. No ad requests of any kind are made once you subscribe.

5. The AI tutor ("Explain It," Pro only)

When a Pro subscriber taps "Explain It," the text of the current question and its correct answer is sent to a server SpeedMath's developer operates on Cloudflare Workers AI. No account identifier, device identifier, or personal data is included — the request contains only the math question and answer. The server does not log or retain requests beyond what is needed to generate the response, and does not use requests to train any model.

6. Subscriptions

SpeedMath Pro is a $4.99/month auto-renewing subscription, purchased and managed entirely through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Apple, not SpeedMath, processes payment and holds your payment details — SpeedMath never sees your card information.

7. Children

SpeedMath is a general-audience app suitable for students from elementary through university level, and is not directed exclusively at children under 13. SpeedMath does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age, since the app has no account system. The free tier's ads are configured to request only general-audience content.

8. Data deletion

Because everything SpeedMath stores lives on your device, deleting the app deletes all of it. There is no server-side account or history to separately request deletion of.

9. Changes to this policy

Any material changes will be noted in the App Store release notes prior to the update going live.
