Terms of Use

1. What SpeedMath does

SpeedMath generates math practice questions spanning Grade 1 through university level, lets you answer by typing or by speaking, times your answers, and shows a step-by-step solution after each one. Free use includes advertising; a paid subscription removes ads and unlocks an AI tutor feature.

2. No account required

SpeedMath has no sign-in, no account, and no user identity of any kind. Your progress and settings are stored only on your own device, as described in the Privacy Policy.

3. Generated questions and AI explanations

Questions, answers, and worked solutions are generated procedurally by the app. The optional "Explain It" feature (Pro only) sends the current question to an AI model and displays its response. Both the built-in solutions and the AI explanations are provided for practice and study purposes only, are not reviewed by a human educator before being shown to you, and may occasionally be incomplete, unclear, or incorrect. Always verify important schoolwork against your own teacher, textbook, or coursework materials.

4. Advertising

The free version of SpeedMath displays third-party advertising served by Google AdMob. SpeedMath is not responsible for the content of ads served by Google or its advertising partners. See the Privacy Policy for details on what ad-related data is collected.

5. SpeedMath Pro subscription

SpeedMath Pro is an auto-renewing subscription priced at $4.99 per month (or your local equivalent), billed to the payment method on your Apple ID. Unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, your subscription automatically renews for the same length and price, or the then-current price if it has changed with notice. Manage or cancel any time in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your device. Pro removes all advertising and unlocks the "Explain It" AI tutor for as long as your subscription is active.

6. Refunds

All purchases are billed and processed by Apple. Refund requests are handled by Apple under its own refund policies, not by SpeedMath directly — see support.apple.com/en-us/HT204084.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract SpeedMath's software or its network endpoints for any purpose beyond ordinary use of the app, and not to use the "Explain It" feature to send abusive, unlawful, or unrelated content to the underlying AI service.

8. Intellectual property

SpeedMath's design, code, and generated content are the property of SpeedMath's developer. You're granted a personal, non-transferable license to use the app for its intended purpose; no other rights are granted.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

SPEEDMATH IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. SPEEDMATH DOES NOT WARRANT THAT GENERATED QUESTIONS, ANSWERS, OR AI EXPLANATIONS WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SPEEDMATH AND ITS DEVELOPER WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING RELIANCE ON ANY GENERATED QUESTION, ANSWER, OR AI EXPLANATION. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SPEEDMATH'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR SPEEDMATH PRO IN THE THREE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) TWENTY-FIVE U.S. DOLLARS.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SpeedMath and its developer from any claim, liability, damage, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of SpeedMath or your violation of these Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the substantive law applicable at SpeedMath's developer's principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where a mandatory consumer-protection law of your own country or state of residence applies and cannot be displaced by agreement, in which case that mandatory law controls solely to the extent required.

13. Termination

You may stop using SpeedMath and delete it at any time. SpeedMath's developer may suspend or discontinue the app or any feature at any time. Sections 9, 10, and 11 survive termination of these Terms.

14. Entire agreement; severability; no waiver

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and SpeedMath regarding its subject matter. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. SpeedMath's failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of its right to do so later.

15. Changes to these terms

SpeedMath may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be noted in the App Store release notes prior to the update going live; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
